A Visit Back to Home Our Home Town

The Drive To Elko

Our drive to Elko was William's second long trip. It is approximately 850 miles. He did pretty well up until about the seventh hour. Thankfully, we had planned to stop and sleep. We stayed at the Sleep Inn in Ontario, OR. Nicholas said "this is going to be so fun!" He wanted to watch cartoons as soon as we arrived. Unfortunately, the movie player we had no longer works. We'll have to get a new one. His favorite part about staying in a hotel was sit jumping on the bed.

SouthFork Lake

On our third day there, we went to the lake with my mom. It was nice to just sit back and relax. The sun was out and it was just perfect. Nicholas even got to drive the boat for a while. We stopped at one of the beaches played in the water for a while and ate some yummy snacks.

After our great time out at the lake, we parted from my mom and we went to visit Grandpa Rob. It was the first time for William to meet him. The boys seemed to enjoy themselves. It was a short visit, but it was good to see him. After Our visit we headed back out to the Smith's (Greg's Parents). We had a great family dinner. His brother Curtis, his wife Trinity and their adorable little girl Rebecka were able to come visit from Salt Lake while we were there. It was nice to be able to see everone.

(Nick calls his grandma's by their dogs names).

It makes it easier for him to remember.

Going to the Park

We decided to take the kids to the park to play and to feed the ducks and geese. The kids played well together. It was fun to get the cousins together. After the kids played for a while, we headed over to the Marina to feed the ducks and Geese. It started out with just two and before we knew it we were surrounded. Fortunately, just about the time we ran out of bread, the wind started to blow pretty hard. We decided to pack it in and head back to the house.
